Our awesome Earth friends at Artventure have beamed some cool Earth art lessons all the way to Planet Starlight! Grab some art supplies and get stuck in, and don't forget to share a photo of your work below!

Sitting Together

Traditionally art was important to the First Nation Peoples of Australia as a way to tell stories and pass on information. This drawing represents people sitting together. If this is four woman in a circle, what might be in the middle; what might they be doing and talking about?

For this activity you will need:

⭐ A piece of paper

⭐ A pencil

⭐ Water colour paints

⭐ A paint brush

⭐ Cotton tips

Artventure Tip: It takes a long time to complete all of the dots. You might want to take a break half way through!

Once you've finished, share a photo of your picture with us at the bottom of this page!

Platypus

The First Nations People of Australia have a close connection to their environment and the native animals. Why do you think that is? How did they feel about the animals? What beliefs did they have about them and the way the world has been created? Their artwork often tells a story. Can you find some traditional stories about animals and the environment?

For this activity you will need:

⭐ A piece of paper

⭐ A texta

⭐ Water colour paints

⭐ A paint brush

Artventure Tip: You might like to try using more traditional materials for your artwork. You could try using bark from a tree instead of paper and try using acrylic paint instead of texta and watercolours.

Once you've finished, share a photo of your picture with us at the bottom of this page!
